SAFE SPACES
Safe Spaces is an experimental dance film that blends the seems between live-action dance video and virtual filmmaking.
The narrative of the film will center around a group of sculptural figures. As we follow them through their journey of expression through dance, it becomes clear that the world they exist in is dangerous.
As they flee to seek safe spaces, they become more and more cautious and nervous, expressing themselves more and more melancholically. Bit by bit, figures meet their end due to a repeated distant thunderous BOOM.
Finally, the remaining figures are left with no motivation other than to travel out of their safe spaces and seek the source of this on-going destruction.
The film will utilize motion capture with dance and motion choreography recorded for use in 3D Rendering Software.
The Motion Capture data will then be brought into Unreal Engine 4, using the latest in real time rendering software advancements that provide incredible speed of creation.
